HOW to get Console of a Router

To configure a router you need to take console first. There are differnt ways to take the console.

Requirements and Procedure
1) console cable
2) connect the serial connector of the cable to PC and another terminal will go to Router console port
3)Open Hyperterminal by-
Go to Accessories-communication-Hyperterminal
4)select the com1 Port
5)restore the default values- which will include 9600 bits per second
6) switch on the Router
7) you will get the console of the Router- where you can configure your router.
